Herve
Corbel was first introduced to
the art of healing at age 12. He
started studying Aikido and
Shiatsu at the Federation
Francaise of Aikido Tradition
FFAT (French Federation of
Traditional Aikido) under Andre
Nocquet. Andre Nocquet
(1914-1999) French physical
therapist and gymnast became a
student of Moshe Feldenkrais in
1937, a live-in student of
Morihei Uyeshiba founder of
Aikido in 1955 for 3 years and a
Diplomate of Tokujiro
Namikoshi’s School of Shiatsu in
1957).
Herve’s Dynamic Shiatsu is a
combination of techniques
including Myofascial Release,
Active and Passive Stretching,
Trigger Point Release, Joint
Mobilizations and Traction and
Gentle Manipulations. Herve has
a passion for Anatomy and Body
Mechanics. He uses the work
of Aaron Mattes (AIS), Tom Myers
(Anatomy Training), Dr. Janet G.
Travvell (Trigger Points), T.
Hoshino (Hoshino Therapy), T.
Namikoshi (Shiatsu Therapy), Dr.
Robert Maigne (Treatment of Pain
of Vertebral Origin) and Michael
Voight (Muscular-Skeletal
Interventions) to ease or
eliminate your Myofascial and
skeletal pain and bring you back
to a state of health. Shiatsu
rebalances the energy flow
throughout the body and assists
the body to heal itself. Herve
is also a registered nurse and
is pursuing training as a
holistic nurse.
